What better way to start off the new year than with a brand-new blog. 

Unlike my previous blog, which was based on Hugo, I got the itch to build my own. This one is built using the standard Rails stack using Trix as the rich text editor for writing posts.

This first iteration took about an hour to build/deploy. The most time-consuming part of it all was tweaking the styling to what I wanted.

I plan to build upon this more, next being adding in syntax highlighting for code.
